A fairer United Nations

A campaign launching in January 2014 calling for a more representative and effective United Nations; a strong moral and legal framework is needed to address global problems.

Increasingly there is debate about the morality and efficacy of war to bring lasting peace. The 1999 Hague Agenda for Peace and Justice for the 21st Century says "
peace is a human right and it is time to abolish war".

Resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

An ongoing campaign for a just solution to this 65 year old conflict; Equity & Peace is lobbying key government figures as well as UN and EU representatives. Former US President Clinton rightly describes the Israel-Palestinian conflict as a microcosm of the challenges facing the whole world.

The duty of the international community should be to adopt diplomatic means to force Israel to abide by international resolutions. If we want to get something right in the Middle East, resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would be a very good place to start.
